John DiBenedetto, Former Vice President, Talent Planning and Development at Wal-Mart Stores (USA)

John DiBenedetto recently spent the past three years revamping learning and development activities at one of the world’s most popular retailers, Wal-Mart. DiBenedetto was instrumental in positioning Wal-Mart University as a strategic level to train over a million associates in 3,600 stores; he and his team introduced a mix of innovative processes and systems to provide the technical and personal development opportunities to ensure that Wal-Mart customers have a consistently positive experience.


Bill Docherty, Senior Director, Product Management, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

Bill Docherty is a leading figure in the international e-learning industry and an acclaimed spokesperson and presenter with more than 15 years' experience in e-learning, software engineering, implementation of enterprise software applications, database development, and most importantly, the integration of technology to meet business objectives. Mr. Docherty's passion for learning technologies that effectively exploit business processes to achieve bottom-line results is a driving force in his current position as Senior Director of Product Management at SumTotal Systems. In this role, he is responsible for interfacing with industry/financial analysts, customers, prospects and partner organizations; spearheading SumTotal Systems' product design, and development of product roadmaps.


Cushing Anderson, Program Vice President, Project Based Services - Consulting, SI, HR and Learning, IDC

Cushing Anderson is the Program Vice President for IDC's Learning Services research. In this role, he is responsible for managing the research agenda, field research, and custom research projects for both the Corporate Learning and Performance, and IT Education and Certification research programs. Mr. Anderson has been actively investigating the link between strategic business planning and training in the extended enterprise. He has also extensively researched the value of partner certification programs to software companies, and speaks regularly on certification programs and the value of education to partnership programs.

Katherine has over 20 years experience in education and change management. including a specialty area in learning technology, change strategy for large ERP implementations and communication strategy. Katherine is a strong facilitator of technology skills training, both face-to-face and through mediated instruction.  She has also taught instructional design at the university level.  Over the course of her career, Dr. Brown has worked most recently as the Change and Training lead on large telecommunications and utilities engagements. Dr. Brown has demonstrated breath and depth of knowledge in the complete life cycle of change strategy, training analysis, design, development, and implementation with specific focus on strategy, performance support and knowledge management systems, needs assessment, business case development, ROI analysis, and implementation

Brenda Boyack, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

Brenda Boyack has been a Sr. Product Specialist with SumTotal Systems since December 2005. She has nine years of facilitation, development and consulting experience in corporate training, including both soft skill and technical training. She began her training career as an internal trainer for Accenture, later moving on to a position as the Training Coordinator and Help Desk Supervisor of a company-wide ERP database system roll out for Culligan International.

Helen Hutchison, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

Helen Hutchison is a Senior Product Specialist and has twenty plus years experience in the software industry, 12 years in software training and 15 years as a systems analyst/programmer. During her 9 years at SumTotal, Helen has consulted on the effective implementation and use of TotalLMS and companion products with many customers from a variety of industries including manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, financial services, military, and retail. She has successfully facilitated both standard and customized configuration workshops and TotalLMS training. Helen has played a crucial role with our rollout and support of our HROs and BPOs. She has a BBA in Management from Texas A&M University.

Jay Chiasson, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

Jay Chiasson - Senior Product Specialist, start his WBT/CBT career 17+ years ago with AimTech Corporation as the Senior Technical Instructor. Joining SumTotal 11 years ago, Jay conducted many ToolBook Instructor and Assistant training sessions and began training LCSM since its inception. He has since conducted several TotalLCMS workshops, webinars, and demonstrations with much success.

Ken Steinman, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

Ken Steinman, CPT, is a SumTotal Systems Senior Product Specialist, with over 15 years experience in the learning industry. He has worked as a learning executive as well as a consultant with extensive experience in LMS administration, authoring eLearning content, and leading large development teams. Ken has developed programs over the past 10 years that are still in use at many corporations today. He has helped SumTotal Systems clients configure and roll out the entire SumTotal suite of tools.

Allan Frame is the Solution architect for Learning Applications at Shell International in The Hague, The Netherlands. Allan is an IT professional with an interest in Learning Management and the integration of those systems into the Enterprise landscape. He is a Chartered Engineer and holds a PhD in Medical Image Processing.

Anjali Dighe, Stranix

Ms. Anjali Dighe is the Director of Operations of Stranix bringing over 10 years of Business Operations and Management experience. Her knowledge of running the high level internal operations at Discovery Communications, ZGS Broadcast Holdings and Telemundo coupled with her experience in dealing with high volume sales and marketing as a Recruiting Manager at Robert Half International has enabled her to demonstrate strong management skills in the financial, operational, human resource and sales realms. She has successfully taken small struggling companies to profiting entities through financial streamlining and capital management. Ms. Dighe’s dedication and passion to expanding her leadership and management methods through professional development programs such as Emerging Leaders through Leadership Fairfax and community leadership affiliations such as the Junior League of Dallas has contributed to the continued growth and success of her colleagues and the company.

Ann Klickman, Mayo Clinic

Ann Klickman is a Safety System Support Specialist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and has been working with Pathlore LMS for four years. Ann has spent the past eight years in the Mayo Clinic Rochester Section of Safety, focused on training and compliance issues. She spearheaded Mayo Clinic Rochester Safety’s implementation of Pathlore LMS, and leads the way in continuously improving the annual training process for some 30,000 employees.

Bob Lee, Cisco WebEx Learning Solutions

With over 20 years of experience in the training industry, Bob Lee has served in a variety of roles, including: training manager, consultant, developer and marketer.  As early adopter of virtual classroom technologies, Bob has designed and taught over 300 online classes while working as an e-Learning Consultant for IBM, Director of Training with Bank One and as an independent e-learning consultant.  Bob also led the development of several educational software products for the business and K-12 markets.  His present role at Cisco includes responsibility for the marketing of WebEx solutions for learning.

Bob Leffler, Senior Manager of Hosting Operations, has been with SumTotal Systems for five years. Prior to the acquisition of Pathlore Software, he was the Director of Hosting Services for Pathlore. Bob has over twenty years of information technology experience before coming to SumTotal Systems. He was a VP-Enterprise Architect at Bank One and served in a variety of roles at EDS, such as Operations Manager for the Frigidaire Account, Chief Technology Officer for the Diversified Manufacturing business unit, Data Center Manager and Network Manager for General Motors, and a Senior Consultant in the AT Kearney Management Consulting business unit.

Christopher King, GEICO

Chris King is a senior systems analyst for GEICO’s corporate university, where he works on Learning Management System initiatives and tries hard to convince trainers that it really is less work to use the LMS. As a dedicated e-learning generalist, he has been involved in e-learning design, development, project management and leadership for ten years, just about as long as the term “e-learning” has been in general use. His current projects include integrating a survey tool with the Pathlore LMS to provide flexible online evaluation metrics for training managers and developing a certification program for synchronous on-line trainers.

Chris Bernard, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

For over 5 years Chris Bernard has suppored SumTotal’s Pathlore LMS user base. Starting off his career at SumTotal as an instructor for all Pathlore LMS classes, for almost two years, Chris eventually joined our technical support team.  Currently Chris’s role as Lead Tech Support Analyst involves project managing a number of our larger customers, working to make sure that their technical support needs are met.  Chris and his wife Lyndsay reside in the Columbus, Ohio area with their dog “arf”.  A science fiction reading enthusiast, Chris is an alumni of Bowling Green University graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Colin Ross, The Fifth Business Inc.

Colin Ross is the Marketing Manager with The Fifth Business, a Sum Total content development partner organization. Specializing in the development of engaging learning content, The Fifth Business are regular e-learning content suppliers for top organizations such as Shell Oil, BP, Marathon and the BBC. Colin has extensive experience in the creative direction and project management of e-learning development for HSSE, financial compliance, IT applications and HR inductions. Mr. Ross has also provided change management and engagement consultancy to a number of companies seeking to maximize their investment in e-learning.

Cory Colton, Citi Employee Services

Involved in the Citi global implementation of SumTotal since January 2005, Cory Colton , a Senior Project Analyst, was originally the project lead on the client side for the Citi Corporate Center businesses. Cory joined the global project team in May 2006, focusing on the implementations in the Global Capital Markets and Banking business, the Latin America Region and the Corporate Center Control Training functions. Cory also leads the global administrator training initiative for the SumTotal system across Citi.

Crissa Gillette, SumTotal Systems

A former college-level business communications instructor and a seasoned sales professional, SumTotal Account Executive Crissa Gillette brings a broad perspective to her collaboration with SumTotal clients. Crissa was a divisional curriculum developer for sales and client training at U.S. Foodservice, and a sales leader at MindSolve Technologies prior to its acquisition by SumTotal. Crissa’s integrated approach to professional development, leadership and performance management practices typifies SumTotal’s partnership methodology to sales, helping clients achieve positive business outcomes through strategic, holistic talent management solutions.

Dawn Cassidy, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

A 20-year veteran of developing and implementing learning and organizational development programs, Dawn Cassidy is SumTotal’s Senior Director of Talent Management and Total University. Dawn takes a hands-on approach to talent management for customers and SumTotal’s own global workforce. Along with her accountability for driving Talent Management within the SumTotal organization, over the past 9 years Dawn has developed solutions for Citigroup, Allstate, Sovereign Bank, the United Nations, Liz Claiborne, Prudential, and numerous other large organizations. Prior to joining SumTotal, Dawn had an active career as an organizational development consultant.

Questionmark Account Manager Dave Leon has worked in sales, business development, and management for the past 15 years. Over this time, Dave has assembled a broad base of knowledge while offering software solutions to corporate, government, financial, and academic customers. He specializes in consultative selling and relationship management which he fine-tuned while working on Wall Street for seven years. Dave is responsible for new business development at Questionmark, advising corporations and government agencies in the use of online assessments. Dave graduated from Hofstra University and resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife and two children.

Dori Abele is Strategic Alliances Manager at SkillSoft responsible for creating and managing technology partnerships. Most recently, Dori has been focused on ensuring technology partners use the company’s Open Learning Services Architecture to build better elearning solutions for our mutual customers and develop new business.   Dori Abele has extensive experience working for companies in the high tech industry and has held various positions in Marketing, Product Management and Education.

Dennis J. Cagan, TWL Knowledge Group

As President & Chief Executive Officer for TWL Knowledge Group, Mr. Cagan has served as a director since May 2005.  He has been in the high technology industry as an active and successful entrepreneur for over 39 years, having founded over a dozen different companies. Dennis has been an investor, professional board member (over 43 boards) and consultant for over 30 years. He brings a broad perspective emphasizing sales, marketing and strategy to the management of a technology-based company.

Donna Cox, Los Angeles Police Department

Sergeant Donna Cox is a 24-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department. She has endured a variety of assignments including patrol, narcotics, gangs and training. Currently, Sergeant Cox is the Officer-in-Charge of the Online Training Unit, Police Training & Education. Sergeant Cox led the team that helped to establish the online training program for the LAPD and has worked closely with others to begin the SumTotal Learning Management System implementation process. Sergeant Cox is a graduate of the University of Phoenix where she earned both a BS degree in Human Services and an MA degree in Organizational Management.

Don Duquette, GP Worldwide

Don Duquette is Senior Vice President of GP's e-Business and Learning Solutions Group. In this position he directs the company's e-Learning and training outsourcing strategy and operations. Don has over 25 years of workforce development and training experience. His consulting experience includes the full spectrum of training delivery. In addition, he provides consulting services in the area of LMS and LCMS selection. Prior to the merger of GP e-Learning Technologies Inc. with GP, Mr. Duquette was the Chief Operating Officer of GP e-Learning where he guided their operational strategy, responsible for the day-to-day activities of 125 professionsals that developed and implemented e-Learning solutions for Global 2000 corporations. Greg Lynn, JEA

Greg Lynn is Manager of Performance Management at JEA, the 8th largest Municipal utility organization in the United States responsible for electric, water and wastewater systems in the Jacksonville, Florida community. With 28 years under his belt at JEA, Greg’s vast experience in Talent Management comes from his various roles & responsibilities. In his role as Operations Analyst, Greg conducted organizational and operational reviews resulting in operational effectiveness, structure, workforce management and culture. Greg developed and defined performance expectations and measurement systems as Mgr of Quality Congrol.. While Directing Training and Safety, Mr. Lynn supervised the development and delivery of technical craft training programs, plus safety and regulatory compliance. Now in his current role, Greg manages the development, implementation and administration of performance measurement systems, partnering with Organizational Development, Labor Relations, and Compensation departments for organizational alignment to assist in achievement of corporate goals.

Irene Campbell, Terrabia Consulting, LLC

Irene Campbell has been working with SumTotal products for more than 12 years. (Anyone out there remember Librarian? She does!) She's worked on small projects and huge rollouts to almost a half-a-million users involving many languages. And if you're still not convinced Irene knows her stuff, these clients include 14 of the Fortune 500, as well as international companies like Volkswagen, the BBC, the Royal Navy, New Zealand Telecom, and Vodafone Portugal. 

One of the biggest advantages Irene has is that she often works with clients over a long period of time: from conception to go-live and beyond. Thanks to all of this experience, she's not only developed some best practices surrounding LMS implementations, but also an in-depth understanding of how decisions you make today turn out six or 12 months down the line. She's passes that knowledge on to her clients and, in turn, help make complex training easy.

Jacqueline Ehrner, Ericsson

Since late 2006 Jacqueline Ehrner has held the role of Strategic Product Manager for the Product Area Advise, Learning Services, within Business Unit Global Services of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson. For three years prior, Jacqueline served in the position of Specialist Sales Manager, Education at the Market Unit Nordic & Baltic at Ericsson Sverige AB. Ms. Ehrner joined Ericsson in 2001 within the Learning Services area and has held several positions within the field of Learning, Sales and Service Delivery. Jacqueline Ehrner was born in La Rochelle, France. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in both Chemistry and Biology from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, United States and a Master's Degree in Pedagogies from the Teacher's University (Lärarhögskolan) of Stockholm, Sweden.

Jeff Place, Questionmark

Jeff Place has been in the training and development/e-learning industry for more than 10 years. Jeff was a corporate trainer specifically designated to be part of Nike's "Go Team," training retail staff on product knowledge, customer service and salesmanship. He has also advised commercial organizations on the use of e-learning platforms and, as an account executive for Questionmark Corporation, has guided corporations, government agencies and academic institutions in the use of computerized assessments. Jeff graduated from Brigham Young University and lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, with his wife and son.

Jeff Lyons, SumTotal Systems

Jeff Lyons, Director of Performance Management and Compensation at SumTotal, heads the professional services group for the TotalPerformance product line. Jeff came to SumTotal during the acquisition of MindSolve Technologies, where he was a founder and served as Chief Client Officer. In addition to his experience in Talent Management, his technical background, which includes a degree in Mechanical Engineering and many years as a software developer and consultant, have been put to good use helping clients such as Pfizer, Ernst & Young, Owens & Minor, Schroders Financial and EDS design and automate solutions to manage employee performance.

Jean-Pierre Bertels, Scania AB CV

Jean-Pierre has spent the last 18 years of his 28 year career with Scania AB (www.scania.com) focusing on training management, competence management, e-content development, implementing LMS and true blended learning where dedicated. He is now the Global LMS Development Manager, responsible for; securing continuous development of the training process by development and implementation of supporting tools, policies and guidelines; supporting a standardized training process in the global Scania network to secure target-oriented and cost efficient development and supply of all types of training required from the Business Units and their customers, and the development of Scania Training Management System (LMS) to enable mapping (target orientation), efficient administration/resource allocation and knowledge distribution (e-learning/blended learning).

Jim Everidge, Rapid Learning Deployment, LLC

Mr. Everidge is the President/CEO of Rapid Learning Deployment, LLC (rapidLD). As a principal and Founder with rapidLD, he oversees the marketing, business development, and learning consulting work for the company. In 2006 alone, rapidLD provided consulting and implementation services for 76 projects and 60 unique customers. These include Allstate, UPS, Cingular Wireless, and Georgia-Pacific Corporation. Prior to founding Rapid Learning Deployment, Mr. Everidge was President of O/E Atlanta, Inc., a training integration company. Over a five year period, Mr. Everidge developed a broad scale training services company including business partnerships with thirty-plus multimedia training companies for product sales and distribution, advisory relationships with eLearning and learning infrastructure companies.

Jody Strike, Mayo Clinic

Jody Strike is a Senior HR Systems Analyst at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, with approximately 50,000 employee users and nearly 100 Pathlore user groups and learning-center portals. For the past five years Jody has served as a system administrator for the Pathlore LMS, focused on maximizing LMS functionality and facilitating automated e-learning solutions and communications for administrative and clinical educational groups across multiple sites.

Joe Keller, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

Joe Keller has over 16 years of experience in the software industry, with more than 8 of those in the eLearning segment. He is currently Vice President of Operations in SumTotal’s Columbus office. In this capacity he is responsible for the development and support of both the Pathlore LMS and SumTotal’s ResultsonDemand offering.

Jon Zucker, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

Jon Zucker has over 15 years experience in the software industry and has held senior positions in both sales and product management. As a Senior Product Manager at SumTotal Systems, Jon is responsible for managing our virtual classroom solutions, learning content creation and integration capabilities, as well as our offline learning and collaboration products; TotalAccess, TotalInformation and TotalCollaboration. Prior to joining SumTotal Systems, Mr. Zucker worked at MutiGen-Paradigm, a software provider in the visual simulation and training market.

Jonathan Fear, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

As a Senior Product Manager at SumTotal Systems, Jonathan Fear contributes to the SumTotal Talent Management Suite development, future roadmap, and architecture with a focus on ResultsOnDemand and localization. Previously, Jonathan was the Manager of Technical Support at SumTotal where he directed technical support operations for the Docent and Click2Learn product lines. Until that time, he was a consulting manager at SumTotal responsible for overseeing customer implementations. Prior to SumTotal, Jonathan spent eight years in managing training and talent as a director at ExecuTrain and a manager at Sears Roebuck and Co. Mr. Fear has a Bachelors degree in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences from University of California, San Diego.

Joe Tansey, Wells Fargo

Joe Tansey specializing in Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management, is the Project Manager for Wells Fargo's migration of their enterprise risk learning program from multiple legacy learning management systems to SumTotal's TotalLMS. Joe worked closely with business line representatives and the LMS team to develop the strategy to automate many of the complexities of the enterprise risk learning program for Wells Fargo's 160,000+ learners. Prior to this role, Joe served as the training lead for Wells Fargo's implementation of SumTotal and the project lead for enterprise synchronous and asynchronous training tools and resources.

Kerry L. Billingsley, Texas Tech University

Kerry Billingsley, CPLP, is the Managing Director for Quality Service & Professional Development at Texas Tech University. She has been with the university for over 36 years and currently manages a department that is engaged in organizational development and employee learning. Her department has used the Pathlore Classroom edition for the past 13 years to track instructor led training. They are in the process of upgrading to the SumTotal Suite via the Results on Demand solution. This department was seeking a solution that would require limited IT support from the university.

Lisa Martin, Citi

Lisa Martin is the Senior LMS Manager for the North America Ops & Technology division of Citi, supporting 100,000+ employees and multiple lines of business. Lisa led the migration of several Citi businesses from different LMS platforms to TotalLMS. She has implemented standard LMS processes across those lines of business to ensure tight controls while allowing flexibility for rapidly changing training calendars. Her model includes the use of “super administrators” and “local administrators” with very defined roles, responsibilities, and privileges in the system.

Mark Tate, Baker Hughes Inc

Mark Tate is the Project Manager for LearnLink, Baker Hughes' implementation of SumTotal's TotalLMS Suite. Recently, Baker Hughes consolidated each of their 8 divisions' Learning Management Systems into one Enterprise Learning Management System and successfully rolled out the application worldwide to over 30,000 employees for blended technical and non-technical training.

Matt Wilkinson, SumTotal Systems, Inc.

Matt Wilkinson, Director of OnDemand Solutions for SumTotal, is leading the rollout of the ResultsOnDemand offering while overseeing the relationships with SumTotal’s Sales and Engineering teams, and partners around SumTotal's SaaS solutions. Previously, Matt was a Practice Director within Professional Services where besides driving his teams toward successful customer implementations, he spearheaded the Pathlore to SumTotal upgrade initiative. Matt brings a strong management background in delivering and selling software solutions to both Fortune 100 and small business customers.

Mary Hodges, Los Angeles Police Department

Officer Mary Hodges is a twelve-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department. She has focused her career in training, from teaching to curriculum design to instructor development. She is an LAPD certified firearms instructor and a California POST designated Master Instructor. She assisted in the creation and development of the LAPD Online Training Unit. Officer Hodges is the System Administrator and a course designer for the LAPD's online training program. Prior to her career with the LAPD, Officer Hodges taught at the middle and high school levels. She has a BA from California State University, Long Beach.

Paul Landers B Ed, M Sc, is a Strategic Product Manager responsible for Ericsson’s Learning Consultancy Services. Based in Stockholm, Paul works with the development of innovative consultancy solutions for Ericsson’s customer base. Paul has also been deeply involved in the implementation of corporate wide learning management and learning content management stratgeices to support Ericsson’s substantial training business. Research into mobile learning applications has also been a key area that he has worked on over the past 6 years. Paul is a regular participant at conferences on the subject of content management, elearning and corporate learning strategy, including ASTD’s Techknowledge, ILTA, ASTD, & Associate Member of PROLEARN. In this role, she defines the future direction and enhancements to the solution, with a focus on all things elearning: virtual classrooms, on-demand training and content, and implementation strategies. Since 1997, her career has encompassed elearning, web conferencing, and technical training in a variety of roles.
